Stars can be searched by the following rules:
star name: e.g. Polaris, Sirius, Aldebaran
Greek letter and constellation abbreviation: e.g. alpha Lyr, gamma CMa, theta CMa, my1 Oct
Greek letter can be entered in English transcription, the constellation abbreviation is not case sensitive
number and constellation abbreviation: e.g. 9 CMa, 50 Peg
the constellation abbreviation is not case sensitive
catalog name and number: e.g. HIP 12345, HD 12345
catalog abbreviation (HIP=Hipparcos, HD=Henry Draper, HR=Harvard Revised, GC=Boss General)
